We had to export what we had on our timeline so far today and show it to the class. This for us wasn't a lot of footage as we have had a lot of technical difficulties but we did have something to show.
The feedback was that our mise-en-scene and attention to detail is good and that our video has an overall style and feel of Florence, which is very promising.
The only criticisms were that some of it wasn't in sync, but we are going to perfect it all before we are happy with it so that isn't a problem. The other thing was that some of our shots were too long, which we as a group agreed with, there is obviously a difference seeing it on a big screen to those in editing, so it was beneficial and we have since changed that entire sequence we showed to the class, keeping only some of the same shots in there and make it a lot more choppy and quirky.
We think this was a successful exercise and hope to have another rough cut to premiere to our target audience soon.
